Study the broad area that your paper should be related to and choose a narrow topic related to it that will be genuinely interesting for you to investigate. If you’re struggling with finding a good topic alone, consult your professor or other experts in the field.
Before you start the real work on your project, you should create a small document that will explain what topic you’ve chosen, why it’s important to study it, and what methodology you’re going to use in your research. Submit it to your committee.
Gather the needed information.
To conduct a decent study, you should learn as much as you can about the chosen subject. Consult your professor and use your university library and the Internet to find and gather the needed literature sources and previous studies.
Conduct your tests.
Once you’ve learned the background of your topic, you should organize and perform your own tests that will allow you to find the data which will confirm or refute your hypothesis.
